Daniel Binette

Managing Director

Daniel joined Lilly in 2000 as a primary care diabetes representative in Montreal, Canada and went on to become a training and development associate; district sales manager and a CNS brand manager. His customer centricity was instrumental to the successful launch of the Bipolar indication in Canada. His next role was sales director for three years before being promoted to VP of sales at the Canadian affiliate for the Biomed division. Most recently, Daniel was next generation customer engagement (NGCE) leader for Lilly as part of the Global Marketing Capabilities team. In this role, he provided a strong understanding of external trends, and potential innovative solutions to address newly identified customer needs. Daniel who is described as a driven, personable and innovative leader, relocated to South Africa in October 2017 to take on the role of MD of Lilly South Africa. He graduated from Laval University in Quebec, Canada where he holds an undergrad in Business and an MBA. Daniel enjoys collaborating across functional groups to maximise resources, exceed established goals and achieve transformational initiatives.

Andre Westerveld

Andre Westerveld

Elanco Animal Health Country Director

Andre’s career has included roles in R&D, marketing, sales and general management working in pharmaceutical, crop chemical, fertiliser and industrial industries. He studied Pharmacy and then B.Com Economics before spending three years in the UK in R&D. On his return to South Africa he worked for Dow AgroSciences in product development, then moved into the marketing department and later into sales, while also completing an MBA. Andre spent a few years as General Manager in the fertiliser industry working for Yara in the Sub-Sahara Africa region, during which time he became involved in the African Green Revolution (AGR). Andre then moved to 3M managing the industrial business. He joined Elanco as Country Director in January 2014.

Ethics & Compliance Director, SASSA

Kedumetse joined Lilly in April 2017 as Global Health Country Leader: SA & Kenya leading the company’s Global Health portfolio in these regions, and was then promoted to Ethics & Compliance Director: SASSA. Kedumetse has extensive experience in strategy, design, planning and implementation and management of health programs, HR focused programmes and training programmes within the health sector, including the management of multidisciplinary and diverse teams. Flexible, resourceful and an exceptional self-starter, Kedumetse has a B. Rad (Diagn) from the Medical University of South Africa (UNILIMP Medunsa), completed a Certificate in Fundamentals of Senior Management with the UNISA School of Business Leadership and is in the process of completing her Masters in Business Administration through Henley Business School South Africa.

Lebogang Molobi

Lebogang Molobi

Sales Director – SASSA

Lebogang has over ten years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, complemented by previous roles in the hospital, production and retail pharmacy sectors. He has managed businesses in both private and public sector markets with responsibilities including market access, key accounts management and expansion into the African markets. Lebogang holds B.Pharm and MSc (med) degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand, and completed his MBA from Henley Business School.

Belinda Bhoodoo

Belinda Bhoodoo

Corporate Affairs and Market Access Director

Belinda has over 18 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having started her career as a sales representative. Belinda joined Lilly in 2004 as a district sales manager and was responsible for leading and managing a sales team focusing on the CNS product group (bipolar, depression and ADHD). She then took an assignment in marketing and managing Lilly’s men’s health products. Belinda then became the affiliate’s Six Sigma Black Belt, leading various projects across the affiliate and region.

Aneesa Sheik

Aneesa Sheik

Medical Director for South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa

Aneesa qualified as a medical doctor from the University of the Witwatersrand. Aneesa worked in the paediatric department at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and later joined the HIV clinical research group, conducting clinical trials in paediatric and adult HIV and TB before joining the pharmaceutical industry in 2008. She started her career at Lilly in 2012 and was appointed as Medical Director: South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa in 2014. Aneesa is responsible for all medical activities within the affiliate including clinical operations.

Gina Partridge

Gina Partridge

Regulatory and Quality Director – SASSA

Gina started her career at Lilly in 2018 as the Regulatory and Quality Director for South Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa and she has responsibility for all regulatory and quality activities in this region. Gina is an accomplished regulatory and quality professional with over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry covering both new chemical entities and generic products. Gina is a qualified pharmacist having obtained her degree from Rhodes University and also completed a National Diploma in Pharmaceutical Marketing. She is passionate about ensuring that patients have access to cost-effective, quality, safe and effective medicines.

Edgar Woodman

Edgar Woodman

HR & IT Director

Edgar started his career at Lilly in August 1999 as a territory operations administrator. Over the past 17 years at Lilly he has been responsible for various aspects in the IT realm. Edgar currently leads the IT team supporting South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa while also working on projects in other regions. With many years of experience, Edgar successfully acts as the bridge between technology and enabling business.

Barry Alan Wren

Barry Alan Wren

Finance Director

Born and schooled in Zimbabwe, Barry moved to South Africa to study at Rhodes University, majoring in Accounting and Commercial Law. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, working in both Assurance and Transaction Services.

Barry started working at Lilly in April 2015 and has spent the majority of his career in the healthcare industry. He has experience in Finance, Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources and General Management.
